After three years in the region of Atacora-Donga  (northern Benin), Solthis closed its project in December 2007, in conformity with the agreement fixed with national authorities.

Solthis' support of two treatment sites - the hospitals of Natitingou and Tanguiéta - allowed for over 400 patients, including 50 children, to benefit from high-quality medical treatment, including the prescription of ARVs.

After an evaluation phase, a support program in another region of the country will be put under consideration, and Solthis may well begin work anew in Benin in 2009.
