GUINEAPromoting Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights

Solthis, in partnership with OH WOMAN®, has launched the game of the same name in West Africa.

Inspired by awalé, a traditional West African game, OH WOMAN® offers a playful and effective approach to raising awareness among adolescents and young people about the crucial issues of sexual and reproductive health (SRH). For the Solthis teams, this game is a particularly useful teaching tool for our sexual and reproductive health (SRH) projects. In partnership with the publisher, we have therefore developed a West African adaptation of the game. This partnership illustrates Solthis’ commitment to innovation and to finding solutions adapted to the specific needs of the West African region and its target audience.

Made available to our teams running SRH projects in Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Niger and Senegal, OH WOMAN® is now one of the tools used to tackle subjects that are sometimes taboo, but essential to the health and well-being of young people.

Is the morning-after pill an abortion method? Are periods dirty? Are hormones messengers in the body? Does the clitoris look like a pimple? Are periods only blood? More than a hundred questions, and their answers, make up this game that raises awareness and informs while entertaining, offering participants an educational and entertaining experience.
