Applying to Solthis

programmations en Sierra Leone

Would you like to work for Solthis? Here are the main steps in the recruitment process.

Job, internship and volunteer opportunities at Head Office and in the field (expatriates) are posted on our website and regularly updated. It should not be forgotten that the decision to take up a field posting should not be taken lightly but after a great deal of professional and personal consideration.

There are two ways to apply: you can respond to an advert for a particular post or send us a speculative application.

In both cases, you simply need to send us your CV and a covering letter (giving details of the dates you are available and your referees) via the appropriate part of our website.

Job offers

On submitting your application, you will receive an acknowledgement confirming that your application has been received by our recruitment team.

If you have not received a response within 6 weeks, you can assume that your application has been unsuccessful. This does not reflect on either your competence or the level of your experience; you may reapply in the future.

If your profile corresponds with Solthis' needs you will be asked to attend a preliminary interview. At the end of this preliminary interview, you will be asked to complete a written/ practical test relevant to the post. Depending on the results, you may be invited to a second interview, which will enable us to select the successful candidate.

Before the start of an overseas posting, we try to arrange briefings for expatriates at Solthis Head Office in Paris as soon as possible. You will meet various people from our organisation who will introduce you to Solthis, what we do, the countries we work in, our mission and colleagues. You will also meet the administrative staff to take stock before your departure, sign your contract and answer any questions relating to HR.

On your arrival in the field, you will also benefit from an induction and a handover period.

For Head Office employees, a handover or training will be organised at the beginning of your contract.

Locally employed staff are recruited directly by the field teams. Our vacancies are advertised locally, but you may also make a speculative application.

The recruitment process is generally identical to that used for selecting Head Office and expatriate staff.
