HEALTH INFORMATION SYSTEMOPERATIONAL RESEARCH
Organized by AFRAVIH and RESAPSI, from 6 to March 9, 2016, was held, in Abidjan-Côte d’Ivoire, the 5th training course in clinical research to strengthen capacities of African actors, doctors and pharmacists in clinical research conduct in Africa.The course was attended by 40 doctors and pharmacists specialized and involved in the management of HIV and viral hepatitis as well as teachers working in the field of clinical research in Africa and Europe.
The training included several components : methodology of research, skills development in clinical research, drafting of a research protocol and an introduction to monitoring and analysis of a clinical research project, particularly basics of statistics and data analysis provided by Jacques Ndawinz, Solthis Health Information Systems and Operational Research Manager . Participants were requested for practice to constitute a clinical research case over 3 days.
