As part of our project continuity of care for people living with HIV in Ebola context in Sierra Leone, Solthis continues its activities to adapt care services for patients.
After the training of traditional birth attendants and the training on the management of treatment failures, our team has done this week interventions in order to train health care workers on the adherence posters that have been created by Solthis to improve or maintain good adherence among patients in the different HIV facilities supported by our NGO.
These tools could help the patient to understand his/her treatment, ask questions or be used as a tool to explain issues before starting and during ARV treatment. For chronic diseases such as HIV / AIDS, the patient's adherence is a fundamental issue for patient care management and thus for the control of the infection.
This project is funded by the Initiative 5%, led by France Expertise on behalf of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and International Development.
