Solthis' team in Niger was present at the EU Delegation in Niger on December 10th for the official signing ceremony of the project “Improvement of living conditions of prisoners” in attendance of partners NGOs and the Nigerien authorities, as well as of other international NGOs and the Embassies of France, Germany and Spain.
This project aims to promote human rights in Niger, by improving the living conditions in the prisons through improving prisoners’ access to quality health, legal and social services, and strengthening the Nigerien civil society in its role of protection and promotion of human rights. This project will be conducted in partnership with the Nigerien Association of Human Rights (ANDDH) and in consultation with the Nigerien authorities.
