Every year on November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Solthis demonstrates its ongoing commitment to raising awareness and combating all forms of gender-based violence (GBV). #EVERYNOCOUNTS
For a week, we broadcast content on our social networks highlighting our actions through our projects in the field linked to the fight against GBV: PAJES in Guinea, SANSAS in Senegal and POUVOIR in Côte d’Ivoire.
Our campaign began with a video showing how Solthis trains its teams and those of its partners to care for survivors of gender-based violence.
This was followed by a presentation of key figures from a study carried out as part of the PAJES project on unintentional pregnancies in schools in Guinea.
On the third day of this week dedicated to combating violence against women, we shared data from the SANSAS project’s care circuit for survivors of gender-based violence in Sédhiou and Mbour, Senegal.
We then went on to highlight Solthis’ mobilization against GBV, notably with our commitment report and the article published by the Fondation Jean Jaurès, written by Céline BAYAC, Community Health and Gender Officer, Aurélie Musca Philipps, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Officer, and Mélanie VION, Civil Society Organizations Partnership Officer.
To conclude, we shared the testimony of Ekom Angela, a transgender person, survivor of gender-based violence, pair-educator and paralegal with the POUVOIR project in Côte d’Ivoire.
