Context

Senegal recently adopted a new integrated national strategic plan (INSP) for a multisectoral response to HIV, tuberculosis, hepatitis and STIs for the period 2023-2030. This INSP promotes a person-centred approach and adopts a differentiated service delivery (DSD) model, including for communities. The National Alliance of Communities for Health (ANCS), which is the principal recipient of the Global Fund for the community HIV component, intends to implement the new integrated strategy in collaboration with community organisations involved in the response to the diseases. Founded in 1994, ANCS is the leading CSO in the community response to HIV in Senegal, working to support and strengthen CSOs and to complement the contribution of the State and other partners. Solthis’ technical assistance will enable ANCS to strengthen the capacities of its staff and those of its partners involved in implementing its programmes, in particular the Global Fund’s GC7. Solthis will help them to better understand the implementation of the new integrated HIV, tuberculosis, hepatitis and STI strategy. This technical assistance will also provide stakeholders with the skills, tools and support they need to successfully implement the INSP and maximise achievement of the GC7 grant’s performance indicators.
